Re: Old Time Autos

This is the kind of passion for automobilia that's hard to find these days, and it's excellent stuff. I have to say I particularly like the black and white pieces. There are places all throughout Maine and New Hampshire (and I'm sure plenty of other places) where you can still find scenes like the ones with all the cars in the weeds, and I've been known to snap a few pictures. I like that this fellow sees art in things like that. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Wilkes, he lives right the road from here. I saw his work and I know there are many people here who really love the old cars. He captured it all very well. He has a facebook page if any one is on facebook.

Re: Old Time Autos

Thanks for the link. Some very good pictures and I also liked the pen & ink ones. Do you know if he did them himself?

Thanx! Great stuff. And reasonable prices. I'll probably order some as soon as I figure out where to put it.

Yeah Bob he did them himself!! Did the originals and "made" or "had made" prints. I knew you would love to see this, as well as several other of our members. I love cars and I especially love art, and the way he brought out the sentimentalism/era in each one is awesome. I really like all of them, but the one that really got me was the one where all the guys were standing looking under the hood!! Captured perfectly! Very nice work, thanks for letting me share it. I was sure that there was numerous people here would enjoy seeing this artwork. I like to think that I "kind of" know at least some of our members and what they appreciate. Old school all the way!!

Richard hand draws each print in various forms; he draws his artwork in Pen + Ink, Pencil & Watercolor.

Its funny because I was looking in the websites C-PANEL and saw that several hits to the site came from this forum thread, so I came here to see what the talk of the town was!

I designed the website for Richard, and I can assure you that all of his prints are absolutely amazing quality. (See Image below of one of his prints that he gave me, with the frame! Thanks Richard!)

Jason, thanks for joining us, we are happy to have you here. As you can see this is a sports forum, with a majority of the chatter here in the nascar forum. I've been here since Feb. 2006 and have gotten to "know" several people and wanted to share Richard's artwork with them. There are several "old time" car enthusiasts that are also long time members, and I thought they would appreciate the quality and detail of all the work and enjoy their trip down nostalgia lane. Thanks for the great website which you designed, it is very easy to navigate. My husband and I will be stopping by the gallery sometime in the near future. My husband was in high school with his children and came across him on facebook. And I wanted to give him a "shout out" here as well. Hope to see you here, it is a good community and there isn't a bunch of crap, like on other sports forums. If you took a look around you saw that we try to cover "all" sports, so if you are a sports type guy who sometimes want to talk sports, this is your place. You can say what you want (pg) about any sport, team, player, driver, etc., just no member bashing, which is one of the things that set us apart from the other forums. And we police that hard, it's really not tolerated. With that said, thanks for joining us, hope to see more of you, take care.
