Must be they have found some way to extract more money from the fans. Any other change would be useless, that would coincide with the race itself. |

| Re: NASCAR considering changes to All-Star format My point is, even though he does (or at least did) commercials for them, you don't see Donovan McNabb wearing a Campbells Chunky Soup ad on his uniform. Na$car has gotten out of control with sponsorship. I still can't get over how fast they make sure the winner gets that big gulp of Coke on camera before an interview. Heck, he doesnt even have to win, he can just be roaming around in the pits and they make sure his drink sponsor is covered. There is no other sport or form of entertainment that is so blatant with commercialism. I remember one time a couple of years ago in the pits, Jeff Gordon had a couple of seconds to chomp some Lays potato chips and guzzle his Pepsi before an interview. He nearly choked on the chips trying to get the product in his mouth fast enough on camera along with the Pepsi. I dont see him with a Lays bag in his hand anymore. |

A few years ago when they used to pay whoever was in the lead at the half it was a must that the driver have the gasoline sponsors decal on the car. There were a few drivers that refused to do it so they were not eligible for the money. It's not just NA$CAR that is in it for the dollar. |

I'm sure you meant Petty does not carry beer/liquor decals. I heard that is because Richard promised his mother that he never would. |
