| Re: Talladega TV Ratings Down Lets see... This week in the almighty NFL we saw the following games: Ravens 30/Broncos 7 Texans 31/Bills 10 Bears 30/Browns 6 Cowboys 38/Seahawks 17 Eagles 40/ Giants 17 Titians 30/ Jag's 13 Looks like a lot of stinkers too me... how come Joe NFL fan isn't blowing up this web site with brutal complaints?? How many bad baseball games with empty seats did you see this season? where is Joe baseball fan with his complaints? What is it about Joe NASCAR fan that makes him stomp, rant, cry and complain? |

| Re: Talladega TV Ratings Down I think the difference is that you only have "one" Nascar race, where as in stick and ball you can just flip through the channels until you find a competitive game. Lucky for me I didn’t watch the blowouts, but the barn-burner at Lambo field and yesterday's MNF exciting game in New Orleans. Also, the World Series has produced classic games so far (highly recommended) as it could end tomorrow.

To me personally I thought this past weeks race at Talladega was a good race. to me it was no different then any other talladega race in years past. Anyone remember in the early 90's when Harry Gant won with the caution free race at 'Dega? Even if some here think that this past weekend's race was a stinker..... SO WHAT? What's the big deal?? I have been watching NASCAR for about 25 years and remember plenty of boring races, I can all say the same thing about the NFL and MLB. |

But, back then there was no choice. A lot of Baseball and Hockey fans "don't" watch regular season, that would turn your brain into mush. |

Well truck ratings were up,again, and you have to have cable to get speed but don't have to get cable to get abc.

I think Brian will probably look at it as: It's obvious that only rich people who can afford to take a Saturday off can watch CTS on their TV's. It's those rascals who are responsible for this misunderstood difference in TV ratings. Cup's ratings are falling because the rest of the country is too poor to watch the "races." It CAN'T be the racing! Look at all the wrecks and carnage we produced yesterday! THAT's what the people REALLY want. Good racing? Who needs that when you have a Playoff, big name drivers you can interview, and a track which you can always count on to produce a couple of multi-car crashes?
