Well, it seems as though we aren't the only ones wondering about the goings on with NA__AR. I just ran across a Wikipedia site which devotes an entire article to controversy in NA__AR. In it they specify the following:
- 1 Technology far from "stock" or production
- 2 Business structure and decision-making policies
- 3 Driver competition in multiple series
- 4 Environmental effects
- 4.1 Fuel consumption
- 4.2 Emissions and pollution
- 4.3 Use of lead additives in gasoline
- 5 Participation of non-U.S. manufacturers
- 6 Changes in traditional tracks
- 7 Manipulating the outcome of races
- 8 The death of Tim Richmond
- 9 Attraction of drivers from other leagues
- 10 Jeremy Mayfield Drug Scandal
Of course it's Wikipedia and we all know how valid that source is, but it makes for some interesting reading. You can find it at:
Criticism of NASCAR - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
In fact, if you go to Wikipedia and type in "NASCAR and Controversy" you get a whole bunch of controversial topics about NASCAR. We aren't alone. You'd think someone at NA__AR could take the hint?
