| Gameday Forecast for Louisiana-Lafayette I’m not going to harp on the offensive line. In my last blog, I was accused of beating up on the Gamecocks’ front five. In the off chance that John Hunt’s charges are regular readers – and because all of them are much larger than the blog’s author – I will try not to harp. In fact, USC’s linemen are much bigger than Louisiana-Lafayette’s defensive line, and presumably, that school’s beat writers. Which brings me to my point: The beat writers on the Bayou need to swing by the local GNC for a round of protein supplements on their way to the weight room. No, my point is this: The Gamecocks’ much-harped-upon offensive line should have its way with the Rajun Cajuns’ front four, which might want to join the beat writers at the gym. U-La.-La. (pronounced ooh-lah-lah) has a pair of starting defensive ends who weigh 230 and 237 pounds. One of the backup ends tips the scales at 214. That’s not a defensive end. That’s a fifth-grader in some parts of the South. Carolina Football with Joe Person
