| South Carolina QB Syvelle Newton Anyone else impressed by the way QB Syvelle Newton has been playing against Auburn? Newton is 14-21 for 181 yards, 2 TD and 1 INT, and with 8:25 left in the game, he has the Gamecocks within 7 points of the #2 Tigers. He's also run for 34 yards and went 6-of-8 for 66 yards on the last SC scoring drive. Win, lose, or draw, I think this kid is gonna be something special after watching him tonight.

| Re: South Carolina QB Syvelle Newton They just showed the kid on the sideline pumping up his defense. I am definitely, definitely impressed with Newton's athletic ability and leadership skills. According to the AP, "Since Newton took over, the Gamecocks have put up 72 points..." I'm telling you, the Gamecocks QB is really showing me something tonight. |
