Gamecocks vs. Bulldogs

Big early season SEC game here for the South Carolina Gamecocks, who could go to 2-0 both overall in the conference with a victory over the Georgia Bulldogs. UGA didn't look all that good last week, especially their QB Tereshinski, and they could well be ripe for the picking. Then again, the Spurrier offense didn't look all that great either, and Blake Mitchell was pretty atrocious. So who do you see walking off the field with the 'W' in this one?

Re: Gamecocks vs. Bulldogs

Some interesting stats about the Georgia - South Carolina series, courtesy of the AP.

Quote:
Spurrier is 11-2 all-time against the Bulldogs, but lost his first game against them as South Carolina coach with a 17-15 defeat at Athens last season.

Georgia has won the last four meetings and has a 43-13-2 lead in the overall series with the Gamecocks.

The Bulldogs have begun their last four seasons with back-to-back wins since Richt started in 2002, but lost to South Carolina in the second game of the 2001 season.

Re: Gamecocks vs. Bulldogs

I got a gut feeling South Carolina will win this one.
Never ever doubt any Spurrier led team. They could be 0-5 and still have a chance to win. He is one of the best around for awhile now.

The Gamecocks trail, 15-0, at halftime. Worse yet, they've been outgained 255-76.
