On a side note: I have asked around about my man Sol Campbell to a few of the more passionate Premiership watchers here...and they pretty much say he falls somewhere between good and great...no one I talked to would rate him "great"...but they all agree he merits better than "good" especially when measured against his defensive of peers...so perhaps my man Sol is in sort of football limbo... So here are my new categories: 1) football gods 2) football greats 3) the Sol Campbell category 4) good football players 5) the rest there..hows that?... |

what i thought about the teams was that when you seen Man United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool they are considered big teams based on their historys and the fact that in recent years they have beaten some of the best teams in Europe where as Seria A has now got AC Milan and Inter, the Bundasliga has Bayern Munich and La Liga has Barca, Real and now Sevilla, its difficult to define which league is better becuase they are all so different for example the Premiership is considered more physical and played at a lot faster pace rather than Seria A or La Liga which is considered more technical and skilful than others... |

| Re: English Premier League Thread To me, its not mostly at top, but thier competition in the middle, La Liga has that proud saying that, we have diversity inside of our league that most clubs in the world, Its more than Real Madrid and Barca, its Valencia who won a uefa cup a few years back, Leaders and surprisers Sevilla who beat Tottenham Hotspur(sorry GDK) on Agg score to move to the final eight, Athletico Madrid, Even Osasuna, who also beat Bayern Leverkusen, to get to the final eight. of UEFA cup, they can say that we are diverse in teams that its not a certianty that Real and Barca will win La Liga, it forces the two teams to play on the highest level, or as you can see for both teams this year, they will be passed if not. For the Bundesliga, its very much more than the reds, its Schalke 04 who is leading the thing, Vfb Stugartt, who is close in second, the historicals Dortmund, and Leverkusen, and dont take out "Der, Clube" 1. FC Nurenburg, its very deep than most regular people think, and the british clubs, yes they have the four most powerful clubs in the world, but its costing them any real competition in the end, and Serie A, This year any way its been too much cheating to comment even though i will give it to Inter for their dominance. So I look in the competition for these top teams, not just the top teams.

I think that what the Premiership has going for it is that its pretty solid all the way through, but the top half of the Italian league can rival the top half of the Premiership over time. |

The Spanish league I don't think is ever as deep, but the top two or three teams can hold thier own against anyone... |

| Re: English Premier League Thread Well I think Man U, Chelsea and Liverpool have three of those spots. The 4th spot could be determined tomorrow when Arsenal and Bolton play, though Bolton has played one more game then the Gunners. Watford will not avoid the drop, for sure. I think the Hammers will crawl there way out of it, altough they play Bolton, Chelsea, Man U and Everton. But at least they have been playing well of late, winning their last 3 including beating Arsenal. As far as the other two teams, it will be Sheff Utd and Charlton, IMO. |

| Re: English Premier League Thread The way I see it the top thre will be like wedge says it, but fourth is more than Arsenal and bolton, dont take Everton out of the picture who is catching up with the rest of the premiership. And as for relegation, the line is clear, Watford is going down to the League Championship while West Ham, with its huge win against Arsenal will get out of the bottom of the sack before they open the hole for next year. Charlton and Wigan is still not safe either. |

| Re: English Premier League Thread i would say: 1. Manchester United 2. Chelski 3. Liverpool 4. Arsenal and at the bottom 18. ??? im still unsure about becuase both could drop into the relegation zone 19. West Ham 20. Watford |
