Last Game in Seattle?

Was Sunday's game between the Sonics and Mavs the final basketball game to be played in Seattle?
If so, than Washington state hoops fans saw their team go out winners, as Earl Watson had 21 points and 10 assists in a 99-95 victory.
Potential finale in Seattle goes way of Sonics, beat Mavs 99-95 - NBA - Yahoo! Sports

Re: Last Game in Seattle?

hopefully seattle can find some way to keep the sonics from moving. it would be devastating to the city if they left. and even now with the sonics having their worst season in the history of the team, they still have a solid fan base at all of their games. The loyal fans of washington sate deserve to have the sonics stay in seattle

Well, according to ESPN.com's figures, the Sonics are drawing just 13,355 per game, third worst in the NBA (only Memphis and Indiana are worse). But at the same time, they sell a higher percentage of their available tickets than those two clubs, plus Philadelphia, Charlotte and Minnesota. Anyway you slice it, though, the numbers don't exactly looks great.

Well, in L.A., going to basketball is a status symbol. Those who can't get Laker tickets wind up going to see the Clippers.
