Rashard Lewis free agent

Rashard Lewis of the SuperSonics has opted out of his contract and will become a free agent.

According to the Associated Press, "Lewis' agent said Friday night that the SuperSonics' longest-tenured player and second-leading scorer had officially opted out of the final two years of his Seattle contract. That makes him eligible for free agency beginning on July 1, but doesn't necessarily end his career with the Sonics... Lewis, who turns 28 in August, left $21 million behind in his Sonics contract. He is considered to be one of the NBA's most attractive free agent this summer."

So where does Lewis sign this offseason? Will he stay with Seattle or try his luck elsewhere?

Too bad the Cavs don't have any room to get him. I wouldn't be shocked to see him as a Bull or a Knick next season.

See, it would be hard for me to leave $21 mil on the table...Lewis better hope and pray for major cap room elsewhere.

Re: Rashard Lewis free agent

I think that Rashard should have at least stayed another year. With either Durant or Oden on the way, I think the Sonics have a really bright future ahead of them. But since Rashard wants to win a championship now, I guess he wasn't willing to wait any longer. Hopefully, he finds the type of contract that he's looking for.
