| Warren Moon DUI Warren Moon left Thursday for the weekend festivities at the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Not, however, before the Hall of Fame quarterback and analyst for Seahawks radio broadcasts discussed pleading guilty Tuesday to a reduced charge of negligent driving stemming from a DUI arrest in December.
It was the second time he had pleaded guilty to negligent driving in 12 months.
Moon, 51, was remorseful and thankful as he talked with reporters between practices at the team's training camp.
He regrets embarrassing his family and the organization. He is thankful for the support each has given him.
"I'm just sorry that something like this had to happen to me, especially again," Moon said. "Because I really look at myself as being a person that has high integrity and high character, and I've worked a lot of years to get to that.
"To have these types of errors in judgment is something that's not part of my character. It's something I'm deeply sorry about.
"I'm sorry that I put myself, my family and also the Seahawks organization in this type of situation.
"I also thank them for their caring, their concern ... and their patience in this whole thing – not jumping to judgments, but really going through a full investigative process to find out everything that was going on."
Moon has opted to serve five days of electronically monitored home detention – rather than two days in jail – and plans to do it later this month.
He also had a drug/alcohol evaluation and voluntarily entered an outpatient treatment program before making his guilty plea.
