Seahawks receiver Bobby Engram, one of the seahawks best wide receivers, who participated in a mandatory minicamp that was conducted over the weekend, didn’t show up for voluntary sessions that commenced on Monday.
The team said that Engram was absent for “personal reasons.” The Tacoma News Tribune reports that the reason is that Engram personally wants to be paid more money.
Entering the final year of his current contract, Engram will make a base salary of $1.7 million. In contrast, Deion Branch will earn more than $4 million, and Nate Burleson will pocket $3.25 million.
The problem for Engram is that he’s 35. So even if he hits the market next March, the interest in him might not be as high as he might want it to be.

From what I have read it sounds like its all about the money. What about it Seahawker? Are you worried at all?

yeah im very worried. I think he is our best WR, and to lose him would be devistating.

I read last night that they arent going to pay him anymore for 2008.
