The Seattle Seahawks are sending out feelers throughout the league for running back Shaun Alexander sources tell Pro Football Central. The Seahawks are looking to get something for the 2006 MVP and are stressing that Alexander can pass any physical and is not plagued by a lingering knee injury. The asking price for Alexander are a 2008 second round pick and a 2009 third round. The Seahawks may have to settle for a fourth round pick if that due to teams believing that if he doesn’t get traded he will be a June 1st casualty.

I think they could get a third for him. I really just think they want someone to take him off their hands.

They aren't going to a second rounder for him and they probably won't even get a third, that is too much for an injury prone, bruising back.

I did one time, against the Packers and he got hurt and I was a lot with Mo Morris.

lol yeah, thats the only bad thing about using them, and they dont have the shotgun in the playbook, i usually use tampa or sanfrans offense.

Doesn't Alexander have that huge contract that the 'Hawks gave him after they won the NFC Championship 3 years ago? I think that would stop a lot of teams. Still I think some team desperate for a ground game like the Bears would give a 3rd rounder. Perhaps Alexander could be used in a runningback by committee approach and be successful.

I think he could be. He'd need to be willing to renegotiate, but I still believe he can find success in a role like that.
