The Seattle Seahawks announced today that six players have undergone surgeries since the end of the season.
They're starting running back Shaun Alexander (left wrist), defensive end Baraka Atkins (left wrist), tight end Will Herring (arthroscopic, right knee), running back Josh Scobey (left lower leg), offensive lineman Floyd Womack (right biceps) and offensive tackle Ray Willis (arthroscopic, left knee).
The Seahawks say starting center Chris Spencer will undergo shoulder surgery and reconstructive thumb surgery tomorrow.
In addition, it says shoulder surgeries will be performed next week on starting defensive end Patrick Kerney and starting offensive left tackle Walter Jones next week. And starting wide receiver Deion Branch will undergo knee surgery in the near future.

I would think that he had a choice. I would think he would want it done as soon as possible so it would have more time to heal. Maybe there was danger of hurting it more. So the surgery was more important to him than the Pro Bowl.

So it's a shoulder for Kerney then, is it? Last I heard all they were saying was "undisclosed injury".
