Alexander to return

NFL Access reports tonight that Shaun Alexander will play Sunday but will share carries with Maurice Morris.

I read the Shaun Alexander thread and I think some of you are really off base. Alexander isnt backing off because of the big payday. Alexander is backing off because he has been hurt for a long time. He comes back and then gets hurt again. Unfortunately, I do believe that for that reason, his great days are over. Time for a new rb.

Re: Alexander to return

Whatever the cause, the result is the same - it's time for a change in the Seahawks backfield.

Re: Alexander to return

I wouldn't write him off just yet. He has been playing injured. He has been trying to hold the ball with a cast on his hand. I think he has a couple good seasons left.

There is a big diff between playing hurt, like with a cast on your hand, and just being lousy. Sometimes you dont sound like a very loyal Seahawks fan. This guy has been great and deserves to get the benefit of the doubt.

Re: Alexander to return

Tell me what player in the NFL has 200 yds rushing per game. It does not happen every week. When healthy you can expect his 100 + yards and a couple TDs. Worked for every other great back. It should be enough for him.

Cool Re: Alexander to return

He looked good in the 1st quarter and then didn't do anything.
