Seahawks sign Mack Strong & Tom Ashworth

Seattle kept their talented blocking FB around for a 14th season, while they signed T Tom Ashworth away from the Patriots. Rumor has it that he'll be converted to guard to replace Hutchinson. Good idea?

Re: Seahawks sign Mack Strong & Tom Ashworth

Hard to say what they will do with their O-line.

Here are some of the different options for the O-line positions:

LT: Walter Jones - No chance of this changing
LG: Pork Chop Womack, Chris Spencer, Tom Ashworth, Sean Locklear, Robbie Tobeck - All those players could step in and do a very good job.
C: Chris Spencer, Robbie Tobeck - Should be a good battle in training camp between these two. Tobeck is a crafty vet but is getting old. Spencer is young, talented, and hungry.
RG: Chris Gray, Pork Chop Womak, Chris Spencer
RT: Sean Locklear, Tom Ashworth, Ray Willis, Pork Chop Womack - Locklear played great last year but Womack was slated to be the starter.

Whatever they go with it will be interesting to see how the pieces fall into place. Many of the players can play multiple positions and I think whatever they go with they will have a solid line. Maybe a small step behind last year but still one of the best in the league.

Always good to have that kind of depth in the O-line, no matter which five wind up starting.
