Joe Jurevicius Cleveland signed Joe Jurevicius today, taking a chunk out of Seattle's receiving corp. The Browns also signed Bentley, regarded has the best center in the NFL. It seems the Seahawks are expecting to have a completely healthy core of receivers next year. That, or they have their eyes on a fresh talent on the FA market, or draft. What do you think?

Re: Joe Jurevicius JJ did a great job last year and made some big plays when Jackson and Engram were injured. I would have liked to see him back with the Seahawks but he has family in Cleveland and I believe he grew up there and that was a key to him signing there. The current Seahawks receiving corps looks like it will be Darrell Jackson, Bobby Engram, DJ Hackett, and Peter Warrick. I look for the Hawks to get at least one receiver (maybe David Givens) through free agency and probably draft at least 1 receiver in the middle rounds of the draft.

Re: Joe Jurevicius That's right. He is a free agent and the Hawks haven't signed him yet. While it would be good to keep Warrick for depth and as a punt returner it is hard to say what kind of impact he will have on the passing game. He has never really lived up to his potential and has had nagging injury problems his whole career. If he is cheap the Hawks should keep him but his role could be replaced through the draft or some of the practice squad receivers.

Re: Joe Jurevicius I was rather shocked that the Seahawks let JJ go. But, hey, I think they know what they're doing now. The organization has done a pretty good job of keeping the team together and finally building a championship team. I'm not sure who the Seahawks would pursue to fill the WR gap, if anybody. Antonio Chatman is a restricted free agent, WR from Green Bay. He might be worth a shot. Although, the WR I really like is Marc Boerigter, an unrestricted free agent from Kansas City. He's 6-3 220, so he gives the Hawks a big target, and, I believe he's pretty quick. Plus, the skill that's so underrated for WR: run blocking. He's a good run blocking wide receiver, which means he could help Shaun out even more. Another WR is, Nate Burleson, 6'0" 197 from Minnesota. He's 3 yrs pro and in 2004 he caught 68 passes for 1006 and 9 TD.
