| Steve Hutchinson The Seahawks have reportedly lost Steve Hutchinson to the Minnesota Vikings. Hutchinson agreed in terms to a 7-year, $49 million deal that would make him the highest paid guard in the history of the NFL. I guess this changes the focus of the Seahawks draft.      |

| Re: Steve Hutchinson Furthermore, $16 million of it will be guaranteed. Now, it's just an offer sheet, so the Seahawks can theoretically match. No way they can, though. Big loss for them. Can't believe all of the defections from Seattle thus far. Is the money that much more important than the ring, guys? |

| Re: Steve Hutchinson I think it all depends on what kind of cap hit the contract has for this year. I have heard two different numbers: $13.5 and $8.5. If the cap hit for this year is $8.5 million I think the Hawks will match that offer. $13.5 and he will walk. |
