Seahawks vs. Bears - NFC Playoffs

NFC Divisional Playoffs
Seattle Seahawks (10-7) at Chicago Bears (13-3)
Sunday, January 14, 1:00 on FOX

So can the defending NFC Champions upset the mighty Bears? What do you think?

Bears are vastly overrated but have benefit of playing at home. But Grossman's admissions that he didn't care about the Packer game will put alot of pressure on him to get off to a big start. Seattle will keep things close with a chance to win but I haven't liked how Hasselback has looked all year. Bears 17-14.

I think you're just about dead on with your prediction, legend - Grossman throws an early TD and thanks largely to their D, the Bears fight off the Seahawks in a close one. For the sake of differing slightly, I'll go 17-13, Chicago.

Re: Seahawks vs. Bears - NFC Playoffs

The hawks secondary is something to be desired, coaching hasn't been the best this year, our special teams acts as if they were wishing they were on vacation, jeramy stevens antics earlier in the year may have thrown the team for a slight loop, losing our primary CB's was sickening, ( were on what # 4 now ) Defensively they look like they need to hit a mini-camp to re-learn how to tackle ( when 5-8 hawks can't bring down one guy... there's a problem ) offensively... and there is one thing that still haunts this team........ come on.... say it with me...... DROPPED BALLS !!!!!

I do have to say that seattle will be looking at this game in a completely different light, especially after the beating they got in week 4, they will approach this game with the mentality that.....

#1 They don't want to be embarassed again like that on national t.v.
#2 They are going to try and expolit rex for not being prepared for the few remaning games this year .
#3 Their defense isn't really meshing together..... ya know with all the criminal crap that's surrounding the team right now.
#4 The hawks have something to prove.
#5 We're hoping thatrex plays and not griese.
and
#6 We would love to shut up those fans that just can't stop making the comparison of this year to the '85 bears.

So in conclusion i would have to say this game is going to be close, but i DO see the hawks winning in chicago come sunday....... it won't be pretty.....

Not only that, but what an amazing story that would make come monday morning...........

P.S. we NEED to keep Devon Hester under control or we WILL lose this game......

Re: Seahawks vs. Bears - NFC Playoffs

I'm going with the Seahawks. The Bears do not impress me at all with the worst offense by far of any playoff team. This team is the worst 13-3 team in NFL history and likely will lose their 4th consecutive home playoff game today. Look for Rex Grossman to be his usual self as the Seahawks take advantage of his ineptness.

Seahawks 27
Bears 14

21-14 Bears just before the half. Both teams have played well. Stay tuned!

Cool Re: Seahawks vs. Bears - NFC Playoffs

Shrug of Field Gulls is taking yesterday's loss as a moral victory:
Quote:
That I could walk down the street wearing my Seahawks gear and not feel ashamed. The big wish -- a win -- wasn't granted, but it came real, real close to becoming reality. The little wish, that the Seahawks prove their mettle and be seen as fully deserving to be here? Absolutely, and maybe even a little more than that.
Sorry, I'm not buying it. You never know when you'll get close again. The idea is to win the game, not come close. JMO.

Re: Seahawks vs. Bears - NFC Playoffs

Well, now its wait til next year. But we should get everyone back healthy and hopefully add some help on th O Line. Guess I'll yell for the Saints the rest of the way but the Seahawks will always be my guys even in losing. But now that they're out of it, I'll yell for the Saints!!
