That year, Seattle went an NFC-bet 13-3, winning 11 consecutive games at one point in the season. Thanks to QB Matt Hasselbeck and RB Shaun Alexander, among others, the team led the NFL in scoring with a 28.2 points per game average. They defeated the Washington Redskins, 20-10, and the Carolina Panthers, 34-14, to win the conference championship and make it to Super Bowl XL. Alas, the team would come up short, losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers in a controversial 21-10 final score, but it definitel gave the team and their fans something to build on for the seasons to come. So remember that any time you have a chance to acquire seats to a postseason match-up at Qwest Field, you could be watching history in the making. After all, you never know when the Seahawks might make a return trip to the big game. And who knows, maybe next time the outcome will be different, right?
