If Alexander Leaves Seattle...

... does anyone see them going after a big-name free agent running back, perhaps Edgerrin James or Jamal Lewis? Or will they maybe draft someone? I don't think Morris is the answer for 20-plus carries a game, so they pretty much either need to keep Alexander or hire a replacement, don't you think?

Personally I don't think Shaun is going anywhere but if he does I don't know if Morris can carry the load. Edge will want too much money and Jamal Lewis is too much of a risk. There are a lot of good free agent running backs out there and there are maybe 6 in the draft that could have a decent impact their rookie year. Will be very interesting to see what happens as this all shakes out.

Re: If Alexander Leaves Seattle...

As a Seahawks fan since they were 2-14 in 1994, my jaw will drop lower than ever before if they let Alexander go. It will drop lower than it did when I heard we traded Ahman Green to Green Bay. Of course, that one turned out all right.

However, if by some chance they let Shaun Alexander go, I sure hope they pick up Jerome Harrison of Washington State University. No one seems to talk about him, but this kid can run. He's no Reggie Bush - no one is. But he may be the closest thing to him. And no one seems to realize this.

I don't know, maybe I'm crazy.
