Seattle Seahawks QB Matt Hasselback was injured by Minnesota LB E.J. Henderson on Sunday. According to the AP, "Henderson rolled into Matt Hasselbeck's right leg early in the second half of a tie game, sending the Pro Bowl quarterback to the locker room for the remainder of Sunday with a sprained knee... Seattle coach Mike Holmgren announced Hasselbeck will have an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of his injury. When pressed on how injured the most important player of his intricate offense is, coach Holmgren turned terse." Holmgren then refused to elaborate on the knee's condition. Sounds to me like it may be worse than what is being reported. What do you guys think?

He walked off so it didn't look that bad to me but who knows? If the Hawks lose him, they'll be in huge trouble.

Hasselback is out 2- 4 weeks with a sprained MCL.....That'll hurt the big time.

True, but at least nothing was torn, so that's good news for Seattle. And now we get a good look at Seneca Wallace, the ex-Iowa State Cyclone, for the next month. The kid was really something special in college, and he's played well in preseason games if I recall. Who knows, the Seahawks may not suffer that much of a drop-off here.

This couldn't come at a worse time. The Seahawks are in a ratrace with the Rams for the division and they need to count on a guy who's hardly started in the NFL. I liked Wallace in college too but I don't know if he can do it in the NFL week in and week out.

I guess we'll find out.
