Shaun Alexander injured

Seattle Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander missed the team's Wednesday practice with a left foot injury. He is currently listed as probable for Sunday's game between the Seahawks and the Giants. Seattle needs this guy to play - they didn't name him the MVP last season for nothing, right?

Re: Shaun Alexander injured

I doubt he misses the game but if he did, the Giants wouldn't mind

Re: Shaun Alexander injured

I've never seen sports writers so quick to call out a player for not playing to his full potential as they have done already this year with Alexander. I have heard it said on multiple occasions that "he doesn't seen to be running hard." I think his dedication shouldn't be what hawks fans a worried about near as bad as the problems on the offensive line.

Well I traded him for Saint Peyton Manning in one of my fantasy leagues...and the guy took Daunte off my hands as well...so...like...I am happy...

Just an observation but seems a little premature just because Daunte has some easy games coming up, and with Holmgren as a coach the running game WILL get going in Seattle eventually although probably not vs. the Giants. Never been a big Peyton Manning fan but his numbers dont give leave me a reason for why except I'm just not into 6' 5" 234lb quarterbacks with lazer rocket arms.

Been on every Fantasy team I have had since 1998...the boy is steady in the Fantasy world...A guy with a Madden fetish should appreciate that much ...

Re: Shaun Alexander injured

If I remember correctly, Alexander didn't have a huge game against the G-Men last year. It was Hasselbeck who had a great day. Then again, it seems all QBs pass for 300 yards and a few touchdowns against the Giants secondary.

Re: Shaun Alexander injured

Here's the latest on Shaun Alexander's injury. According to the Associated Press, "League MVP Shaun Alexander will not play Sunday in Seattle's NFC West showdown at St. Louis despite recent tests that show the crack in his foot has diminished... Now the Seahawks will hope to have last season's NFL rushing leader return for their Oct. 22 home game against Minnesota. Maurice Morris will make his second consecutive start for Alexander against the Rams."

Re: Shaun Alexander injured

If they can figure out how to run with Morris They'll be that much better off at the end of the month. I think this was actually a good thing for the hawks. With the start Alexander got he wasn't going to compete for another mvp, and having a backup with some games under his belt is good for the whole offense. Alexander will be the talk of the legue in a few weeks.
