| Re: Mariners snap AL West losing streak Yesterday's 2-0 win over the Los Angeles Angeles was the first win against an AL West team in a long time for Seattle. In fact, the Mariners had lost 20 straight games to the other teams in their division prior to Monday's victory. According to the AP, "Seattle's losing streak was the longest against division rivals since the big leagues split into divisions in 1969. It matched the 1969 Montreal Expos' skid against the NL West for the longest slide against teams from any division."
But that streak's over now, and the Mariners have another streak to worry about - they've won five straight. Bet Seattle's glad to have this AL West losing streak off their backs, eh? |
