According to Yahoo! Sports, the Seattle Mariners are making some changes, hoping to get a few wins in the process.

Among them: C Jeff Clement might start taking some playing time away from C Kenji Johjima. Ichiro is going to play RF, and Jeremy Reed and Willie Bloomquist will platoon in CF. Miguel Batista, who has been closing in the absence of J.J. Putz, will return to the rotation, replacing R.A. Dickey. Replacing Batista in the closer role will be RHP Brandon Morrow. Furthermore, according to the website, interim GM Lee Pelekoudas "is ready to make some roster moves if the team doesn’t rid itself of its worst-in-the-majors label."
