| Ichiro named All-Star Game MVP Ichiro Suzuki was named the MVP of last night's All-Star Game, won by the AL, 5-4. According to the Associated Press, " Ichiro Suzuki sped around the bases as the ball bounced away from Ken Griffey Jr. for the first inside-the-park home run in All-Star game history... Suzuki, on the verge of a large contract extension from the Mariners, had been 3-for-15 in All-Star play coming in. He got three hits, was the game's MVP and will be remembered for his strange shot, unfamiliar even to ballpark regulars such as Bonds."

| Re: Ichiro named All-Star Game MVP That was the strangest bounce I have ever seen a ball take off a wall. I don't think there is there a pitcher that can get a ball past Ichiro. He was making contact with everything they threw and that was supposed to be the best there is last night.
