Sharks re-sign C Joe Thornton

According to the Associated Press, "The San Jose Sharks signed center Joe Thornton to a three-year contract extension Sunday, keeping the 2006 MVP in teal through 2011... Thornton has been the NHL's leading scorer since the Sharks acquired him from Boston on Nov. 30, 2005, scoring 239 points and winning the 2006 scoring title during that span." Smart move, don't you think?

Boston was totally stupid to let this kid go...totally stupid, I am still upset about that...how can I even think of the Shark re-signing him yet?

YES, I have trouble letting go of the past.

He'd certainly be the offense the Bruins are lacking.

Imagine if they still had Thorton and had just acquired Fernandez. Would they have been a playoff team in 2007-08, you think?

Yeah, you never, ever, ever sell the heart of the team...that is sooo wrong...may they rot in the hell that is not making the playoffs for decade to come.

I always wonder if there was other stuff going on when they let him go.
Not so surprising, Sharks want to keep him.
