I was ecstatic when we got him up here a few years back-I loved Nolan, plus big player on the Olympic team too. Then it soured. Lots of injuries, ended up not doing much for us beyond a morale boost - I'm excited to see what he's got. I'd like him to play for someone else beside the Sharks, though.

Re: Owen Nolan coming back to Sharks? So Nolan has emerged but it's not about when he might return - it's in hearings between him and the Leafs about whether they owe him 12 million dollars. Or more. Owen says his knee injury was never properly taken care of in TO. They were the ones who cleared him for the 2003/-4 season, and we know what happened then. Since he was cleared, the Leafs didn't owe him any $$$ when he didn't play. As opposed to belfour, who i think we did pay because he was declared injured and freakin decrepid. Also, Mr. Nolan says he had the right to exercise his player option, which would have been this season and worth 5-6 million $$$ if he had played. If the Leafs didn't want him to play, they should have bought him out for 3.73 Million. The numbers are staggering. I wonder, is poor Owen short of cash? No no it's the principle of the thing, isn't it? leafs management asserts he was healthy, and the injury was done during the lockout, so they owe him nothing. Like a sad angry couple in the midst of a messy divorce - I feel sorry for the children. The fans.

Re: Owen Nolan coming back to Sharks? Sharks definitely don't need him. I loved him when he was a shark too - loved him when he played for team Canada and won the gold. He's just done, now. All this talk about returning - it's all smoke, no fire.
