SF Giants Have lost nine in a row

OK, who else is tired of the Giants losing? Last week, they were on top of the division, now they are in the cellar. Could the "dog days of summer" been the reason? Did the heat "kill" their motivation? Can anyone besides Ray Durham hit the ball?

Re: SF Giants Have lost nine in a row

if you take the average age of the guys on their roster as stated by espn there average age is 31.96 that just seems like an old roster that cant take the long season, plus all their younger guys seem to be pitchers. Their average age of fielders is 34.8 this is just an old team. This is something id wish the yankees would fix too, but i dont belive their average age is as old as the giants.

I know that the Giants have an old team. It just seems that they have the older players that are still(seemingly) getting the job done in some respects. After Barry finally retires, they should build a team around Pedro Feliz. Boy, what a find he was!

they still seem to get the job done, but at some point its got to all come crumbling done, and 162 to game season espically with the heat wave craze is just alot to ask from old people. and felize seems to be doing well now lets see if he can do it next yr and the year after that too

Re: SF Giants Have lost nine in a row

This may be beating a dead horse but Sabean really messed up with the deadline. The Giants should just cut losses and ship out as many of the old guys as possible. Even Jason Schmidt should've been dealt for a prospect. He's not staying in San Fran so why keep him? It's not like the Giants will make any noise if they make the playoffs.

It's time to rebuild in San Fran.
