This is just a conspirency by MLB to get him out of the game because they are trying to keep one of old records intact. Also, if Mark McGuire were trying for Aaron's record, there wouldn't be such a stink. MLB, especially Bud Selig, doesn't want Barry to do it because he isn't a media darling and can't handle another African-American holding the crown.

Oh, come on candlejack - this has absolutely NOTHING to do with race. Bonds is a jerk and a steroid user, regardless of the color of his skin. From what I see, Bonds, Palmiero, McGwire, Canseco and all of the others who have ties to the Balco scandal are being painted with the same brush. Or maybe you haven't noticed that McGwire has almost completely disappeared off the face of the earth in shame. If MLB doesn't want Bonds to break the record, I guarantee you its because he's a cheater, not because of his ethnicity.

This appears in today's New York Daily News: "One of Barry Bonds' attorneys says the slugger is bracing for a possible indictment Thursday on tax evasion and perjury charges." Closer and closer to being a reality.
