I don't think so. The whole thing with Rose was like the Black Sox, that he could have possibly had a direct impact on the outcomes of games. Bonds, even if proven for sure he used roids, well, there's no guarantee that he could manipulate the result.

Steroids couldn't manipulate his body to help in swattin those homeruns? If it is proven he used roids after they were banned, it would be a slap in the face of Hank to let Bonds record stand IMO.

Not sure I'm saying this right. What I mean is, if Bonds is taking roids, it gives him a better chance to hit a home run. But people who take a bribe to throw a game, or gamble - possibly betting against your own team - definitely manipulated the outcome.

Hope that makes sense. I'm awful tired and not 100% sure what I'm saying at this point.

They weren't legal without a doctors prescription. Steroids/HGH weren't banned by MLB until 2003 or 2004.

The charges against Bonds stem from testimony relating to around the year 2000.

It really doesn't have much to do with the sport but more to do with Bonds messing himself up by lying to the feds.

Well all of you people that were living denial are finally going to get your indisputable "proof." I usually don't take glee in other people's misery. But Bonds was so arrogant and is such a miserable human being, I going to enjoy this whole process.

If he's guilty, and there's proof, then he's guilty. Sorry if it's a problem for some people, but no matter how miserable a guy was, until there's proof, I'm not going to convict someone because he's arrogant and I don't like him (which, in reality, I don't).

Well, if it's indeed Greg Anderson's testimony, saying that he personally got the stuff for Bonds and that Bonds knowingly did it, that's good for me.
