Barry's got his groove

Nobody knows Barry better than Barry. They interviewed Bonds about a year ago and they were showing everyone else's predictions on when he will bust Ruth's record. Everybody said April, Bonds was the only one who said the first week of May. He knows his strengths and his weaknesses. And this this time the Giants look like winners, in a weak division nonetheless. Who cares GO BONDS.

Re: Barry's got his groove

If you notice on ESPN, they never cover the Giants excellent start for the 2006 season but Barry Bonds. It is almost as if Barry Bonds is the whole team in their minds. But essentially, he is according to most people.

He isn't the team...but we live in a nation where we love to see heroes fall from grace as much as we like to see them get there in the first place...We are morbid that way...though we call it "news" just to cover it up...

Re: Barry's got his groove

ONE MORE BABY .....ONE MORE....I know the record is really 755 but hey to knock off Babe Ruth...its a pretty big accomplishment. Hopefully this will catapult him into a 50 hr season and he can finish out his career this year with out some mercy one year old veteran contract. http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/B/BBN_BONDS_713?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME&TEMPLATE=DEFAUL T&CTIME=2006-05-08-07-33-43

Re: Barry's got his groove

According to accurate calculations, if he finishes the season on pace he should end up with a total of 30 homers and 72 RBIs. Not bad for somebody his age and his health status.
