The helmet Barry Bonds wore when he hit his 755th home run is headed to Cooperstown -- in a wrinkled, brown paper grocery sack. Baseball Hall of Fame vice president Jeff Idelson said the helmet is destined for a nicer receptacle soon. It will be put on display as soon as he returns to New York. The helmet was marked with thick silver ink on the brim noting the date and 755. Bonds also has promised the Hall his helmet from the record-breaking home run. "And probably the 756 uniform at some point, but not at the beginning," Bonds said. "That, I want to look at for just a little while."
