Giants P Barry Zito has been named one of the worst signings of 2007 by Yahoo! Sports. As the article, written by Jeff Passan, says of Zito's performance after signing a 7 year, $126 million contract, "So, dude. A 6-9 record kinda isn't good, right? And a 4.90 ERA, it doesn't suck or anything, but it sorta does. And, like, six more years of this. Whoa." Any hope he'll be able to turn it around, or has San Francisco invested in a very expensive, barely sub-5.00 ERA pitcher through 2014?

I remember them saying "Zito isn't worth the money he is being payed". Looks like those sentiments were true!

He has lost velocity off his CY Young season...and his breaking stuff isn't what it was...I am sure he had it back before the season began.

If you watched him since the cy young year, he has steadily declined. His fastball was losing something, but he always had his big curve. That seems to have disappeared this year.

They were right Zito has been terrible .His curveball just isnt breaking like it has in the past.I watch Zito Pitch in a spring training game agianest the Cubs and his curve looked lika a BP Fastball he hasnt been good
