Re: Bonds might not donate prized items to Hall of Fame

Doesn't his bat and things belong to the team? Why is he allow to keep them? Isn't that against the bylaws of the sport or something? Can't this guy's team just sent his things to this Hall? Do players get to keep their clothes and accessories (or whatever you call the toys they play with?).

So (for arguments sake) say Schilling was found to test positive, serves a suspension and makes it back in time for the post-season. You're saying you would not be cheering him on if he were starting Game 3 of the ALDS?

Look, this topic is timely since Guillermo Mota will be returning tomorrow (I think) to the Mets fresh off his 50 game suspension for testing positive last year. He admitted he made a mistake and was a man about the whole thing. But I don't think he'll be boo'd (perhaps a scatter when he first makes an entrance into a game), in fact, people (including myself) will welcome him back with open arms.

Bonds is the posterchild because he's the guy who hates the media and so forth but then you have to have the same attitude when Sammy Sosa comes up to bat or Luis Gonzalez (perhaps), etc.

Excuse Mr. Empire, isn't that rude to skip over my comment? Isn't there bylaws against being rude in this forum?

good point but i think you have the reversed neo

the players have the bats specially made weight and length so i think those are theres ........ i believe the uniforms would be the teams property

there is your difference right there ........ i could accept Schill back if he did that ........ if he played the denial game i would have no use for him ..... i would of course cheer for the team to win but i would feel a little sick having him on the mound

See, Mr. Empire, at least Simon is not rude. I may only know a bit about sports, but he did not ignore my comment (-or was it an observation? )Either way, thanks Simon. You rock!

Re: Bonds might not donate prized items to Hall of Fame

We posted at the same time there Neopet.

As for who has ownership of the items...bats and such belong to whomever has posession of them, basically. The players have their own bats and whatnot.

Ooops. Sorry Mr. Empire! My fault. I let emotions get the best of me sometimes. Thought you were slighting me cause I sounded stupid or something. Glad to see I don't!!! Well, maybe I do, but at least you were not totally rude about it! A true gentleman!

Well, really, Riddler always got the best of the Batman don't you think? And I am sorry if I insulted this Bette girl that I do not know. I did not know you meant a groupie as in an actually living person - well, maybe I am not making sense.

Who played the Riddler in the old time stuff. My dad said he was really funny. It was a 60's thing -show -whatever.
