I used to love watching Bonds, but I'll be honest, I hate hearing his name on ESPN. It's a shame. Hank deserves better than this.

| Re: Barry Bonds Hits HR #745 Aaron won't be present so he can avoid all the questions. Selig won't be there to celebrate. After he does it, if it's at home, there will be a long pause where the fans will applaud. Then the game will resume. On the road, he'll be boo'd and the game may stop for a moment before being resumed. |

People complain about Bonds...fine...but if he is going to officially hold the record, then have the grace to honor it...if not kick him out or ban the record... I hate freakin Selig with a passion. |

| Re: Barry Bonds Hits HR #745 GDK...I understand that view and greatly share it myself. There's not a real baseball person, including Selig who during the 1990s DIDN'T know the majority of MLB players were on some type of illegal enhancement stuff. But now that the gov't (should they have?) got involved, they ran scared and try to play it off like the game is the victim. They knew McGwire and Sosa were jacked up guys, but let them hit the home runs which put people in the seats. Now that Bonds is doing it, the guy who doesn't have a very outgoing personality, he's the villain in the picture which MLB loves. Just an overall sticky situation any which way you look at it. |

Meanwhile Selig, who is a disgrace to baseball, makes millions as commish...and has the gall to play moral judge on Bonds...birds of a feather the two...they need to stick together. |

| Re: Barry Bonds Hits HR #745 I hope it does happen in San Fran, so at least the team can hold some sort of festivities themselves. Selig's not smart enough to realize that baseball will come off looking far, far worse if they do nothing than if they recognize it. We all know Bonds is going to break the record - like him or not, that's no small feat, and no one has ever, EVER proven that he's a cheater, regardless of what popular opinion says. Ignoring it is the worst thing Selig could do.

| Re: Barry Bonds Hits HR #745 The interesting thing about the Sosa and McGuire situation is that they were the reasons baseball became popular again. People didn't watch baseball as much but because of those years, people stay glued to the set or went to the park to see what would happen. |
