Does that really surprise you? That just over 1/3 of baseball fans want to recognize Bonds' accomplishments? So many have already judged him guilty of steroid use, facts be damned. I don't like the guy personally, but until they prove he juiced, people need to get off his back.

By the way, beautiful home run by Ryan Howard right there to give the Phils the lead.

That's crap...honor him or ban him...but you can't have it both ways...can't have him playing and then not honor him...

Steroids aside, is it worth the record if hardly no one recognizes it?

So much for Lincecum settling down. At least he got out of the inning, but he's not looking so hot right now on the whole.

Only Barry really knows the answer to that question. He apparently wants it pretty bad, cause he's still playing.

that could be true ......... but personally i think stealing third is a little over-rated

the pitcher has his back to you so you could get a heck of a jump ..... then the catcher has to make an awkward throw across his body to third

just seems a little easier then stealing 2nd

and now everyone tell me im crazy

Lincecum's thrown 63 pitches (35 strikes) in 3.0 innings. He'll be lucky to last five at this rate.

Why do they have to make EVERYTHING black and white?

Good question. Wish I had a good answer for it.

I find it hilarious that 70% of the discussion on this game (here and on ESPN) has been on a player who isn't even on the field tonight.

Top of the fourth, Wes Helms up vs. Lincecum. Phillies still clinging to a one-run lead.
