| Barry's Recovery.... Almost all of our judgements on the steroid issue revolve on the desire to protect this little sports world that we love to live in. I say little because it is so small when you compare it to the whole of life. The Barry Bonds issue to me is more about a fine young athelete who has made some very bad decisions and his physical health is progressively deteriorating. All of this is hidden behind the fame and fortune of his super star status. Barry is dying on the inside as well as the outside. His life will probably be cut short because of all the steroids. This is a sad situation for Barry because the first step to recovery is to admit that you have a problem. If he doesn't do that then he has to live in denial and lie to the whole world. My advice Barry- To hell with the rest of the world. Go and get better. Spend time with your family. Come back and visit us later. We will embrace you for facing your problem head on. BBB |

| Re: Barry's Recovery.... Barry, If all that BigBadBuc says is true, if you are on steroids and you are addicted he is right. Your health is the most important thing. Your family wants you to have a long life and no paycheck or game is worth dying for. Look at Lyle Alzedo, he died because of steroids. He sacrificed his life for football and I truly hope that you are not doing the same. If BBB is right, you should quit playing...but just one more season OK? |
