Re: Will Barry Bonds Break the Home Run Record?

I find it interesting that it is so hard for many of us to ever speak objectively about Bonds -- to put our personal feelings about his attitude and his possible steroid use aside and just analyze his game. Maybe its because the latter had such an effect on his game, but I'm not sure I've even seen a guy like this where it was almost universally impossible to say, hypothetically speaking, "Yes, he'll break the record because his bat's starting to come to life, and managers are staring to throw to him more" or "No, he's swinging the bat too slow and having far too hard of a time reaching pitches on the outside corner to make a run at Aaron." I haven't seen enough Giants games to do so, but does anyone want to take a crack at analyzing a typical Barry Bonds at-bat, and break down his swing?
