Re: Bonds To Stay With Giants

I doubt there was ever any serious interest from anyone else.

I hoped nobody would offer him a deal. When he gets enough home runs, it's going to be so awkward.

Empire you pureist...what's awkward about it?...he holds the single season record, after him there is McGwire and Sosa...its accepted as record...why draw the line now?

Because who wants to see the guy break Henry Aaron's record? If he does it on the road, he'll be boo'd. If he does it at home, he'll be cheered but everyone will know it's all taintend. And all the bad publicity it will bring the game, I'm sure Selig wished Bonds would've just retired. It opens up a large can of worms.

Re: Bonds To Stay With Giants

Bonds will hit a maximum of 15 homers next year, and he's being payed $16 million. That's more then a million per long ball. What a ridiculous waste of money....

Re: Bonds To Stay With Giants

Yet another season when Giants fans will have to wait around until the team can start rebuilding. Until they dump Bonds, they can't start being competitive again, which is just pathetic in such a weak division.
