Nice move for San Fransisco, adding some speed to a rather sluggish lineup. If Roberts can mimmick the season he had this year in '07, the Giants can really benefit from this signing.
The only thing I'd have to question is the length of the deal- 3 years. Roberts is 34 years old, and has had only one healthy and productive season (2006).
