Barry Bonds told mlb.com he will consider postseason surgery to remove bone chips from his troublesome left elbow. Bonds has previously said he would retire rather than have any more surgery, so he could always change his mind again.

"I'm probably going to get it done," he told the Web site. " ... If I come back in the National League, I'm going to have to play the field and deal with that situation. I'd get it done right away and then go from there. It's just a cleanup, it's not major surgery."

Interesting - sounds like he may intend to actually play in the NL again next season. I though for sure that if Barry were to come back, it'd be in the AL as a DH. Like you say, though, he changes his mind as often as most of us change socks, so who knows what's really going on in his freakishly huge noggin?
