| Re: Plans mulled for new 49ers stadium More details are starting to emerge on the planned new San Francisco 49ers football stadium. According to the San Francisco Chronicle article above, "The San Francisco 49ers will soon start previewing their plans for a new, privately financed stadium at Candlestick Point -- and from what we hear, it's an expandable, 68,000- to 80,000-seater that could accommodate everything from football and rock concerts to the Olympics and even Major League Soccer." What do you guys think about this proposed new Niners playing field?

| Re: San Francisco 49ers announce new stadium design "The San Francisco 49ers on Monday unveiled an updated design plan for a new stadium at Candlestick Point that would add enough seats to host a major event such as the Olympics," reports the Associated Press. The new venue will cost between $600-800 million, all privately funded, and team and city officials hope to have it completed by 2012. |

| I truly believe the 49ers should stay in the all mighty SF. I mean come on how can you move from prime waterfront real estate to a mudd bowl in Santa Clara which by the way would use money from Santa Clara and taxpayers which is idiotic indeed.Santa Clara is a one horse town that has no beauty .I love to sight see on the way to SF and after the game.I love that magical trip up to SF to get to candlestick park .It is an awesome feeling.I live in Mountain View and I still say stay in SF the most beautiful city the bay and world has to offer.REAL TALK!! Santa clara is going to be more of an environment problem due to congestion of 237 ,I don't get it.Come on Carmen Policy make it happen ,I miss Eddie DeBartlo big time. What have the yorks gone mad.I wish residents owned the niners like Green Bay does.Cause the yorks are trippin' .We stayed faithfull watching them as they lost before they were winners and then as they became slouchers again in SF.Bill walsh field shall I say(aka) candlestick. You don't mess with tradition or you become a follower just like the rest of the nfl teams. |
