Re: Ahmed Plummer retires

Another tragic case of injuries ending a career prematurely. Former 49ers cornerback Ahmed Plummer showed a lot of promise coming out of Ohio State in the 2000 NFL Draft, but he's had neck, shoulder and ankle injuries over the past few seasons and his rehab has not gone well. So he's hanging them up at the age of 30. Thoughts on his career?

Re: Ahmed Plummer retires

This is what I get for concentrating on NASCAR during this time of year. I get a litthe sentimental when I think of carrers. Football players nowadays seem to retire if they can't rehab from a hangnail. What happened to the days when people like Ronnie Lott, who lost a fingertip playing, would keep playing hurt. These players played for the LOVE of the game, not for the $$$$$!
