Re: Niners sign QB Shaun Hill

Remember a few weeks ago when we were talking about the battle between Cody "I don't need to go to NFL Europe" Pickett and Jesse "How could doing a reality TV show be a bad idea?" Palmer? Well, it looks like both QBs days with the San Francisco 49ers are in doubt. Not only has the team brought in QB Shaun Hill, but Mike Nolan has already said that Hill will compete not this these two, but with Trent Dilfer for the backup role! So if you keep Smith, Dilfer and Hill... I guess Mr. Pickett and Mr. Palmer better start packing!

Shaun Hill signed with the Niners, Shaun King with the Colts. As for Palmer and Pickett... maybe Ricky can find a job for these guys up north? Or perhaps its time to go the Arena League route, eh?

Ah. got my Shaun's mixed up... Personally I think the CFl is a step up from the AFL...it still resembles football with a few odd rules...

The AFl (which I like) reminds me of rainy days in Gym class when we had to play flag football indoors...

Your right about that. Danny Kanell played for the Dragons for a year and I saw him play a few times. He was terrible. But Aaron Garcia is a great AFL QB but couldn't make it in the NFL. In the AFL it's all a timing thing. The QB's basically tell the WR's to goto a spot and the ball will be there.
