| 49ers sign Barry Sims FA OL Barry Sims has signed with the 49ers. Sims, who started all 16 games with the Raiders, had considered Rams, Ravens Panthers and the Pats also. He decided with the 49ers because the money was better and he could stay in the Bay Area. Sims can play either left or right tackle but is expected to compete with Jonas Jenning at right tackle.
