Gore catching on fast to Martz's offense

Frank Gore has the ultimate in hot line numbers. Marshall Faulk told him to call anytime.
So far Gore has been catching a lot of passes. But he wants his role expanded. He wants people to know he can run, catch, and block. He says he thinks most people think of him as just a running back.
Faulk thinks the Gore-Martz marriage will be a good one and that Gore will be the center of the offense.

This guy wants to set records in receiving and rushing. Will he do it under pass happy Martz?

Re: Gore catching on fast to Martz's offense

Hmm... can't seem to pull up the article, but it sounds like good news. If this is any indication, it looks like I was 100% wrong about Gore not being able to pick up the Martz offense. Of course, having the ability to pick Faulk's brain doesn't hurt matters either. No running back has played that role in the Martz offense even half as well as he did in St. Louis.

That is great,a guy like Faulk helping the younger players like Gore i did not think they would stray away from a working formula specialy when it's the only formula you have, great post Bette. oh and i think he'll set records only if he stays healthy because his the only real weapon we have until that Q.B thing works itself out......come on HILL.

Thank you niner fan. Its always nice to know that our work as mods is appreciated.
The only thing that bothered me is that the emphasis seemed to be on Gore catching at this point.

He probably sees that as a weak point in his game and just wants to work extra hard to improve it.
