That was Mike Martz's metaphor for how he will go about teaching quarterbacks Alex Smith and Shaun Hill the 49ers' fourth scheme in four seasons.
Trent Dilfer is still under contract but his future with the team is unclear after he suffered a season ending concussion in December.
