Frank Gore's future

What does the future hold for 49ers RB Frank Gore? Clearly, he's not cut out for Mike Martz offense. Will San Fran try to trade him?

Perhaps, but he's not a Marshall Faulk type. Wrong kind of back for the system.

Re: Frank Gore's future

if you already have a back like Gore, Why go out and hire somebody that can't use him. Will Martz adapt his playcalling for him.

Cool Re: Frank Gore's future

They should just keep him. He's a star player. He was just beat up last year and is on a crummy team.

Re: Frank Gore's future

Hmm, sorry, Estragon, I just don't see it. Gore's a different type of back than Faulk. I just can't see him doing all the things Marshall could do.

hence calling him faulk LIGHT! haha. I think that Martz is smart enough to recognize what you and I both do about Gore not being Faulk, and will use him as such. And after having to use Lions running backs next year its no wonder that Martz is in love with Gore's running.

Re: Frank Gore's future

He may be a different style of back, but do you think he could adapt to Martz's style. He would be great if he could run like he does now, and catch out of the backfield.

Re: Frank Gore's future

people seem to forget that he can catch out of the backfield, and gore out in the open is a beast,he may not be faulk but faulk is no walter payton r jim brown, thats what makes people stand out because there differnt and styles they run and i'm sure martz is smart a enough to use gore as gore should be used with the ball in his hands, don't forget when norv was there gore was 80%of the offense, although martz has his own way of running the offense not the same style but he learned alot from turner ppl seem to forget that, don't worry be happy
