You know all that hype surrounding 49ers QB Alex Smith? It looks like the kid might just live up to it after all. In yesterday's loss to the Denver Broncos, according to the Associated Press, "Smith went 4-for-5 for 58 yards passing while leading two first-quarter scoring drives for the 49ers." Coach Mike Nolan told reporters afterwards, "Alex did a real nice job, had a good command of the offense." So is this kid really the real deal after all, or is it still too soon to tell?

i believe this is the year for the kid........he finally has all the weapons....a pretty good offensive line....Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Darrell Jackson.....you dont need much more after that...

The 9ers also addressed the defense this season....bold prediction but im going out on a limb and saying 49ers....NFC west champions.
